Air Ionizers
– Do not use air filters
– send negative ions to air surrounding the person and increase weight of particles therefore causing them to drop to the surfaces/ ground
– they can also repel other particles which are charged the same
– pollutants / pathogens will not be in the air BUT will be along the ground / surfaces
– it may prevent the inhalation of the virus BUT can still infect you if you do not clean your surroundings because the virus/ bacteria may survive along surfaces
– AIR purifiers with HEPA filters are more effective than wearable air purifiers to prevent COVID-19 but need regular maintenance or disinfection.
